Blepharoplasty and Lateral Brow Definition – Making Your Upper Blepharoplasty POP!
By Joseph Walrath, MD | Apr 10, 2013 | Featured
Lateral brow definition is something that almost all women appreciate after upper blepharoplasty. Precise measurement and placement of the incisions is critical to achieve this endpoint. In the patient below, a ptosis repair was performed (the lid was lifted, so that more of the eye could be seen). The upper blepharoplasty was performed at the same time, to remove excess tissue and restore some brow definition as well. Preoperative and postoperative picture are included below:
Preoperative:
Postoperative (1 month):
A close inspection will allow you to see the (fading) incisional scar below the lateral brow at this one month time point. It is almost always completely invisible by the three-to-six month postoperative visit.
