Dr. Walrath is an amazing doctor. Not only is he friendly and courteous, he also informs you every step of the way. He and his staff are very patient. They understand the anxiety that comes with surgery, and they accommodate you. I went to Dr. Walrath for eye surgery needed due to a rare genetic disease, and he was knowledgeable about it, although I had met with several other doctors who were unaware of the disease. Several of my relatives and family have had similar eye surgery, and I can say with 100% accuracy that they did not have similar results. They did not have the outcome that comes only with a very skilled surgeon that Dr. Walrath can achieve, and in some of their cases, there was almost no change at all in their eyesight or appearance. I am very grateful to have been under the skilled and exceptional surgical care of Dr Walrath and his team. In a nutshell Dr Walrath is not only a super skilled oculoplastic surgeon, but he is also approachable, funny, easy to talk to, explained everything and patiently answered any question. Dr Walrath’s personal attention and care included a pre surgery and post surgery follow-up phone call and his relaxed personality made the whole surgery an excellent experience. Moreover his willingness to perform a minor revision simply because he wanted me to be 100% happy says so much about his commitment to his patients. Dr Walrath is simply the best Thank you!

Dr. Walrath did an amazing job on my mother’s upper eyelids (blepharoplasty). She’s 96. I definitely will be having mine done next!! The picture without glasses is before the surgery. What a difference!!!!

Dr.Walrath and his team were great!! For my in office procedure, I have never felt so relaxed during a medical appointment. The lights were dim, the music was the perfect relaxing playlist for my age and the blanket along with the covering up of my right eye, made me feel so secure. It felt like a spa day! I felt very well taken care of and the results of my lower blepharoplasty surgery are amazing, I look refreshed!

Dr. Walrath fixed a blepharoplasty that my previous doctor (Ben Strom) botched. I wish I had gone to him to start. Regardless, he's an excellent doctor--possibly the best in Atlanta. I strongly recommend him. Also, he's a super nice and relaxed--just the right persona for a surgeon. Lastly, I noticed his entire office staff love working for him. That speaks volumes.

I have been to Wolfson twice for 2 different procedures. My last experience was with Dr. Joseph Walrath. I’m extremely pleased with the results. The entire experience was great from beginning to end. I went to a consultation with Dr Joseph Walrath who was very recomended in the blespo group in Facebook and he was great ! Took his time to explain all the details that will happen in the surgery, show me pics , gave me option and I few very comfortable and will move forward with him after my beach trip ! I chose Dr. Joseph Walrath at Woolfson Eye Institute for my procedure. He was personable, funny, and made me feel completely comfortable. He really took the time to answer all of my questions without ever making me feel rushed. He even followed up with me personally afterward, which meant a lot! I felt like he truly cared about making sure I was at ease and that everything went smoothly. The staff was also very caring. I felt taken care of every step of the way.

For 2 1/2 Years I suffered with not being able to keep my eyes open.I had been to several eye doctors and finally was recommended to Dr. Walwrath who knew exactly what to do. My bottom eye lids had flipped inwards and My eyes were burning.He preformed eye lid surgery to both eyes and with the Botox I am back living life again. Thank you so much Dr. Walwrath.

I had to see Dr. Walrath emergently after a bite to my right eye. When I shut my right eye I could still see- I thought it was a goner! I am so pleased with the results and the way Dr. Walrath interacted with his staff. Due to the nature of the emergency he was very kind and was able to get me into his office the next day. Not only that but he was also accommodating due to my work schedule upon suture removal. I am a nurse and work with many doctors and surgeons- his bedside manner, the way he interacted with his staff, and the way his staff described his character spoke volumes. Truly grateful to have discovered Walrath and anytime someone mentions anything eye related - I highly highly recommend him. I had everything done under local too and really it was almost painless.

Had Eye lid Surgery…Initially, Doctor was Great Pre Appointment… Then, after procedure Zero pain management afterwards, not even a Tylenol! Had one post Op Apt, mentioned this to him, He looked down and Said Don’t know what to tell ya”! Ego to the max, zero bedside manner Afterwards… Felt like a Factory…Go somewhere else where the care and Pain Management is there, and they LISTEN to suggestions…His Assistant Christie was amazing and Kind…
Response from the owner:So sorry that you had this experience! I am generally very easy to reach after surgery and can handle prescriptions in that setting. As a matter of course, I essentially never prescribe pain medicine for upper eyelid surgery unless it is a multi-operated patient, because in my experience it is rare for patients to complain of postoperative pain from those procedures, beyond tylenol and ice.
At the time of the one-week postoperative visit, if a patient notes pain that occured one week prior, it is essentially not a problem that can be treated, since the patient is currently pain free. So it is unclear what really could be done at this point.
At any rate, I hope that you are happy with your surgical outcome.

Went for a consult which was ultimately a complete waste of time. Gaslit to the max over my perception of my previous procedure’s results/experience. Don’t go with this guy so other doctors that are better out there
